Tailor made program suits neurodiverse of special need students A 3 hour session can include any of the below options Here’s a simple 3-hour neurodiverse learner program with broad topics, designed to be flexible for mixed ages and support needs. It uses a strengths-based, inclusive structure and can be delivered in person or online.
Program goals
The session aims to help learners understand neurodiversity, recognize their own strengths, and build practical strategies for learning and self-advocacy. It also keeps the content broad enough to suit autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and related learning differences.
3-hour structure (dynamic)
0:00–0:20: Welcome, safety, group agreements, and what neurodiversity means.
0:20–0:50: Understanding different learning styles and brain differences.
0:50–1:20: Strengths, interests, and what helps each learner do their best.
1:20–1:30: Break.
1:30–2:00: Common challenges, barriers, and stress triggers in learning settings.
2:00–2:30: Practical strategies for focus, organisation, communication, and regulation.
2:30–2:50: Self-advocacy, asking for help, and using supports.
2:50–3:00: Reflection, takeaway, and next steps.
Activity ideas
Use short, low-pressure activities such as visual check-ins, choice-based discussions, scenario cards, and a personal “what helps me learn” worksheet. Interactive, practical methods are commonly used in neurodiversity training because they make content easier to access and apply.
Suits individual's needs
Keep instructions brief, provide visual supports, offer movement or quiet breaks, and let participants choose how to respond verbally, in writing, or with visuals. A calm, predictable structure and strengths-based language are repeatedly emphasised in inclusive neurodiversity programs.
